School Programs
At all our schools, we have children and youth members with different talents and strengths from infants to Junior school to Secondary or Academy school students learning values and disciplines and applying them in their daily life.
By coaching and instructing individuals on a weekly basis we have gained valuable experience in finding new strategies in molding youths into taking on board new ideas. They learn to handle the disciplines of mental and physical exercises that help develop performance.
In recent years there has been growing public and political concern over the number of young people within schools and communities who are being identified as angry irresponsible youth.
Youth rebellion itself is a complex and multi-dimensional fact influenced by various interrelating events, and can be manifested in many ways including disengagement from normal activities, disruptive or antisocial behavior, and involvement in petty crime. Rebellion has been identified as a particular problem within schools, where it is seen and perceived to be characterised by increased levels of disruptive behavior, truancy, and exclusions, as well as falling academic standards and non-participation.
The Thurrock school of Karate is a club that has used it's martial skills as a "tool" intended to engage young people between the ages of 3 and 16, those following expected norms and meeting expected milestones, as well as those young people experiencing difficulties with one or more aspects of school and/or home life, resulting in active or passive rebellion.
Our School employs a specific and tailored intervention program that incorporates physical activities to reengage a target group of young people, as well as personal development programs designed to challenge and inspire open and honest dialogues.
The aim of the club is to offer every child the opportunities of reengaging into society and erasing the common negative stereotype (branding) that seems to block opportunities rather than create them.
We provide engaging activities all year-round that necessitates the participation of the parent or careers, building bonds with their young people.
Our courses are designed to help re-enforce skills and attitudes they need to manage school education, succeed in their chosen career, and give back to the community.
Helping them to channel their passions into a more focused and purposeful outlook. Thus building the persons communicative, and interpersonal skills.
